(Info) About the Molarity of
the K2CO3 and NaHCO3 for the Cold Fusion
Reactor... |
|
Dear All,
For the Cold Fusion Reactor builders, I give you an important
information about the molarity of the electrolyte solution.
For the Potassium Carbonate ( K2CO3 ) :
The weight of 1 Mole is 138.2 g. If you want to have a 0.2 molar
solution ( 0.2 M or 0.2 mole/L ).
For 1 liter, you need to add : 0.2 * 138.2 * 1 = 27.6 g of K2CO3
i.e : In the CFR v2.0, I have used 600 mL of demineralized water.
So, to get a 0.2 M solution of electrolyte, I need to add : 0.2 *
138.2 * 0.6 =16.6 g of K2CO3
For the Sodium Hydrogenocarbonate ( NaHCO3 ) :
The weight of 1 Mole is 84 g. If you want to have a 0.5 molar
solution ( 0.5 M ).
For 1 liter, you need to add : 0.5 * 84 * 1 = 42 g of NaHCO3.
i.e : In the CFR v1.4, I have used 600 mL of demineralized water.
So, to get a 0.5 M solution of electrolyte, I need to add : 0.5 *
84 * 0.6 =25.2 g of NaHCO3
I hope that this will be helpfull... Good CFR replication
experiment.
Best Regards
